Hi, I'm Laura Watson
NCPS registered counsellor based in Edinburgh, working with women in person and online.
I offer sessions from my home in Blackhall, via Zoom or ‘Walk and Talk’ in Inverleith Park. I also run monthly online mindfulness groups for women.
My approach is tailored to suit your needs and personality. I provide a safe, empathetic and non-judgemental space to help process any thoughts, feelings and behaviours and to develop lasting coping strategies.


Counselling for women and girls in Edinburgh
In-person and online counselling for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, BPD, PMDD, perimenopause, emotional dysregulation, panic, low self-esteem, loneliness, struggles in motherhood, challenges within neurodiversity, and relationship difficulties.
Counselling to support women and teens struggling or in overwhelm at any stage of life. I specialise in hormonal instability, highs and lows within motherhood, social and emotional challenges of ADHD and autism spectrum, panic attacks and mood disorders. However I am comfortable in working with any mental health issue.
My Services
At Laura Watson Counselling, I provide in-person as well as online counselling sessions for teenage girls, women, and mums at any stage of their parenting journey.
In addition, I run monthly online mindfulness groups. The aim of this is to provide a space for women to access community and to de-stress from daily pressures.
My counselling approach is largely person-centred, and I believe that the relationship between client and counsellor is the most important element of therapy, so I offer a complimentary 15-minute discovery call where we can talk more about your needs and establish that we are suited to working together.
