I believe that the relationship between client and counsellor is the most important element of therapy, so I offer a complimentary 15-minute introductory call where we can talk more about what you are looking for and establish if we are suited to working together.

Before retraining to be a counsellor I was a secondary school teacher and I continue to tutor exam students in French and Italian. I  hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling with Chrysalis and I am registered with the NCPS.

My counselling experience to date includes working with young adults in schools and with mums encountering difficulty during the perinatal period. My work with new mums in learning to navigate the challenges of being a “good enough” parent has been hugely rewarding, and my time working with teenagers in schools and women with diagnosed or suspected ADHD has led to a passion for this area of counselling.

ADHD in girls and women is still misunderstood as the symptoms are so different to those of boys and men. Female ADHD can lead to emotional dysregulation, low self-esteem and burnout due to masking. I can work with you to develop strategies for leading a more fulfilled life. I can also provide advice if you are considering seeking ADHD diagnosis.

My approach is pluralistic which means that I will includes elements of person-centred, CBT and psychodynamic therapy in our sessions. I am here to provide the best environment for you to reconnect with your needs and values and develop a deeper understanding of yourself, in order to live a more fulfilling life.

Sometimes this means using CBT and mindfulness techniques to tackle everyday stress before we can gently look at how past experiences might have shaped the core beliefs you hold about yourself.

I believe that each and every one of us has an innate capacity to heal and grow when working with a counsellor who is non-judgemental, empathetic and genuine.

"People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying 'Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner.' I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds."
